Defensively: INF mph – 81; Calm somewhat cautious footwork, relies on arm strength vs playing to and through ball on the move, traps ball with ability to make a quick and clean transfer to throw, keeps glove and ball off his body.
Body: 5'11/175lb. Medium, athletic build. Slightly high waist, room to fill out as he develops.
Hit: Neutral set up, quiet load with small leg lift. Keeps hands quiet and has an efficient bat path. Barrel stays through the zone. Little waisted movement, quiet head.
Power: Peak bat speed of 75 mph and exit velocity of 90 mph. Current gap to gap power. Look for gains as the frame develops.
Arm: Fluid arm action, made clean throws in his defensive workout. Dropped it down on throws to 2B. Peak velocity of 80 MPH across the diamond.
Defense: Had a quality defensive showing. Moved laterally to field balls and had smooth transfers. Soft hands. Clean double play turns. Footwork can improve at times.
Delivery: Fluid, under control delivery. Constant rhythm throughout. Medium high leg lift with efficient sit into back hip. Holds tension down the mound and rotates into a firm front side.
Arm Action: RH. Short out of the glove and gets deep into scap retraction. Arm flips up as he gets to weight bearing foot plant. Aggressive angle upwards as it flips up. Quick arm.
FB: FB 83-84; Average 21" vertical break and 2' horizontal. Pure backspin creates ride. Combination of velocity and movement should perform well up in zone.
CB: 67-70; Downer profile with -11" vertical break and -6" horizontal. Slight sweep to it as well. High raw spin at 2307 gives potential for big movement. Best down in zone.
CH: 69-74; Avg 13" vertical break and 11" horizontal. 8-10 mph difference and 8" vertical break separation is difficult for hitters to adjust to. Quality profile. best down in zone.
