Bay Area World Series 2020 (BAWS) - Uncommitted; Long/athletic body, arm speed/arm strength are present, there is quite a bit of positive projection yet remaining, FB up to 87, has shown both SL and CB w/hints of spin that project more action on those pitches. Sniff of 90 is possible this spring. Also has and will use the CHG.

Positional Profile: RHP Body: 6-foot-2, 180-pounds. Lean and lithe, sinewy athletic body type. Delivery: Methodical delivery, strong over rubber, quiet hands, engages backside, kicks out to stride/plant foot, very slightly open stride. Arm Action: RH. Quick arm, clean on backside, mid-thigh depth, overhand slot. FB: T86, 83-85 mph. Mostly straight 4-seam, can pitch at knees, mixes in 2-seam w/good run. SL: 70-71 mph. Showed feel, fairly tight w/some occasional tilt. CH: 76-78 mph. Kept down, some split type action.

at College Park HS - Uncommitted; The 6-foot-1, 170-pound Dominguez (2.1 IP, 0 R, 2 H, BB, 2 HBP) relieved the starter, starting the second inning and essentially held College Park at bay, giving his team a chance to claw back. His stuff is still raw but he showed flashes of why he could be a force on the mound for the Patriots this year and beyond. He showed two pitches (FB & CB) and both had flashes of above average potential. His FB was straight and had some life through the zone, which allowed him to generate swings and misses, though he didn't record any strikeouts. Had some trouble commanding the curve and finishing the pitch but when thrown right, it had sharp, downward, late break. The ability to control that pitch will be a key to his development into a college prospect. He can repeats his delivery fairly and release point fairly well but there is some effort to it all, which may have led to a couple wild pitches. He has a long stride and uses the slope well to create a downward plane. There is certainly room for Dominguez to grow and fill out his long frame and unlock untapped potential. Keep an eye on this junior RHP.

BAWS 2018 - Long and lean, athletically proportioned at 6-foot-0 150-pounds. Tall on mound with very high front knee before sitting into hip going down the mound; average arm speed/shape with 3/4 release. Fastball 77-79 mph, generally straight with small actions off plate on both sides; stayed arm side during outing and leaving over plate. curveball 68-69 mph 11/5 shape with slurvy action on small downer spin. Favorable projection based on body type and loose arm.
