1/19/19-1/21/19- 6-foot-3, 190 pounds, strong athletic build, toolsy, with room for growth. Left-handed hitter, displays patient approach at the plate, quick hands, fluid swing through the zone, some inside out to the swing, raw power and plus bat speed. Displayed a very mature approach at the plate with multiple hits to the opposite field on fastball and off-speed pitchers while both ahead and behind in the count. Average defensively both in the outfield and infield, good feel for both positions, should develop nicely. Runs well, solid running mechanics, potential base stealer. Advanced hitter who should see his name called early in the 2019 draft.

8/26/18 - Frechette is a projectable left-handed hitter, standing 6-foot-3, 200-pounds. On Sunday, the San Diego State commit had a two RBI triple to left-centerfield in the first inning to give California a commanding 3-0 lead. Collecting six total hits over three games, Frechette has good barrel awareness and the knack-for-a-knock. Even though he has long limbs that can make it difficult to keep the barrel inside the ball, Frechette does a nice job of getting the barrel on plane and staying behind the baseball. Hit fastballs the other way, but still showed the ability to handle spin by dropping the head on some sliders from right-handers.

8/25/18 - Frechette collected three knocks on Friday. The 6-foot-3, 200-pound, left-handed hitter has a smooth hack with present strength and natural lift. He singled up the middle, laced another single to right field on a slider, and blooped another in front of the left fielder.

8/7/18 - Frechette has a long frame with room to add strength at 6-foot-3, 200 pounds. He showed average raw power with a pull approach in BP, which should only get better as he continues to develop physically.

San Diego State commit. Frechette is a long framed, powerful first baseman/outfielder that flashes pull side power from his middle-pull approach. Balanced setup with a slight leg lift trigger initiates his swing in which he does an excellent job of using the lower half to drive the back hip into the ball to generate torque and power. Has the look of a hitter in the box and flashes some over-the-fence power. Present high-average hitter with the ability to run into one.
