Body: 6-5, 165-pounds. Tall, lean and long limbs. High waisted. Tons of projection in the build. Delivery: Unique delivery. High knee lift that is straight up-down. Works in good direction towards home. Level shoulders. Jumpy. Pushes off the rubber hard which creates good energy down the mound. Arm Action: RH. Some stabbing action that shows out the back. Slight inverted W. Decent layback. Present arm speed. Slots it from the H 3/4. 6Ks facing 10 batters. FB: T86, 83-86 mph. Played well up in the zone for whiffs. Some present rise. Had some command issues (33.3 zone %) but was effective. Above average spin for velo. CB: 70-72 mph. Produced tons of whiffs. Hitters would swing over it. Worked well low in the zone. Hard and firm. Chase pitch and get me over pitch.
9/23/18 - Rising Stars Prospect - Six-foot, 130-pounds, extra-large frame that is long, lean, and wiry strong. Long legs with a high waist. Long arms with squared shoulders. Large feet. Very projectable physically. Full arm circle in the back through to a high ¾ slot and an out-front release point. High leg kick in the front while staying somewhat tall on the back that drives off the rubber to gain ground down the mound. Quick arm that creates depth and angle. Arm slingshots and is whippy throughout the delivery. Maintains good balance from start to finish. Fastball shows some run to the arm side with late action as it enters the zone. Shows excellent command of the pitch. Curveball shows late, sharp downward breaking action. Spin is tight on the pitch and he was able to throw it to both sides of the plate while keeping it down. Shows feel for the changeup that he runs back to the arm side with some deception to it. Maintains same arm speed and slot on all pitches.
