Bay Area World Series 2020 (BAWS) - Uncommitted; #176 in CA, 33rd among OF; Powerfully athletic actions, the throw & run tools are plus, the bat speed is there and the power potential is projectable. Could fill any of the three OF spots and play plus defense, outstanding range. Can get on mound and flash nasty stuff w/a high spin slider.

Defense: One of the many players to make a web gem diving catch in the competitive simulation portion. Showed feel and looked the part in the outfield. Pro ability in right-field. Arm: RH. OF - 88 mph. Plus outfield arm, consistently in the high 80s, could translate on the mound as well. Hit: RHH. Athletic setup, wide base, active hands, toolsy feel, quick bat to ball. Smooth swing, balanced throughout the hitting process, does not utilize his size and tools enough. Line drives averaged; 89.3 mph, 22° launch angle, 297 ft. Power: 93 mph exit velocity from the tee. Run: 7.02 runner in the 60.

PBR Far North Preseason ID - Regarding tools and only tools, Hamman was the most impressive prospect at the showcase. At a lean and wiry-strong 6-foot-0, 165-pounds, he's got that twitchy/electric body actions that draw immediate attention. Interesting to also note that his older brother is also a good athlete (now a pitcher at Sac City). Hamman runs easy, throws easy with aggression, and attacks the baseball. In fact, his overall style of play, whether defensively or offensively, is that of an attacking nature. His hand speed at the plate is a plus and the swing trigger is very quick. He displayed balance and a quiet body, allowing him to have good barrel control along with the plus bat speed. Given another year of physical development, it's realistic to expect Hamman to enter and rise up our 2021 rankings.
