ACG Tryout - Right handed hitter, balanced base, and bat held very high. Short swing with a two handed finish results in consistent hard contact (RBI 2B LF and HH L8 during live scrimmage). Comfortable in the crouch receiving and had a plus, plus exchange. Threw 74 mph from the squat with a 2.01-2.10 pop time.
Positional Profile: C
Body: 6-0/205. Large, strong build with lower half strength. RSI - 2.12 10yd - 1.85, 60yd - 8.04, VERT - 26.4
Arm: C - 75mph. Shorter arm swing out of a ¾ slot. Quick, compact exchange to a short/abbreviated arm path. 4/4 on throws, one short hop on the right side of the bag.
Defense: Pops: 1.94-2.05; Wide base, big target, firm hands. Deliberate feet and demonstrated good block technique/recovery. Excellent mobility, comfortable receiver that works from the ground up, solid target.
Hit: RHH. Even feet, balanced base. Hands above the shoulder and with a flat, still bat. Simple leg kick trigger, bat path works down and out through contact, quick stroke with arms extended. Short, two handed finish once contact is made.
