Positional Profile: OF/RHP
Physical: 5-11, 170-pounds; Proportional, athletic build. 7.53 runner in the 60.
Offensively: RHH. Even setup, with feet shoulder width apart; has a pre-pitch bat waggle. Loads straight back with an up and down stride for timing. Stays behind the ball while showing an aggressive lower half. Showed a slight lift to the ball with two handed finish. More fly balls than line drives and ground balls with a peak exit velocity of 86 MPH via Trackman. Aggressive upward move to the ball, showed ability to stay on-plane within the context of his approach.
Defensively: Starts with a balanced setup; uses prep step while showing active feet. Hands are off to the side with a clean transfer. Long arm swing from a high-3/4 arm slot. OF - 81 MPH. Gets around ball early to create angle to the target, backside is fairly compact, full finish with back leg powering through, resembles pitchers-type finish, flashes of slightly above average future arm strength.
Pitching: Uses a glove side setup working primarily from the stretch. Belt high leg drive with a slight lean over the belt. Has a long stride landing inline with the plate. Long arm swing while showing no restrictions; high 3/4 slot. Spins off 1B side with finish. FB: Peak velo of 80 MPH, while sitting 77-79 MPH; straight action. SL: 68-69 MPH; slurve like. CH: 74-75 MPH; sinks. Traditional repertoire, around zone with all three, easy arm action with circular backside, velocity should keep steadily climbing with physical development.
