California State Games - Big physical body, certainly has the look of a player you will find at a corner on a college team. The arm is strong, plays above average both from 3B and in the OF and all of that is great. However, it's the hitting talent that shines brightest, such as it should be for a corner position player. The EVs are strong, the bat speed and Blast metrics are good, and he backed it up in game play with impact contact, including one of the two home runs hit at the event, a BOOMING fly ball to left-center that went halfway up the net and was on the way to the football field.
Positional Profile: 3B/OF Clinkenbeard is an all-in-one of size, speed, and power.
Body: 6-3, 193-pounds. Filled in build, strong legs and upper body.
Hit: RHH. Wider stance, front foot turned in slightly. Bat rests above his shoulder. Coils weight onto his back foot but never fully lifts front foot off the ground. Quick trigger with a tight axis. Has reach to all parts of the field. 70.5 mph bat speed with 9 G’s of rotational acceleration.
Power: 98 max exit velocity, averaged 93.1 mph. 337' max distance.
Arm: RH. INF-81 mph. OF-86 mph. Strong arm, delivers strikes even when his weight is going back. Good arm from the OF as well.
Defense: Sturdy base, stays low and behind the ball.
ATH: 7.19 runner in the 60. 1.70 and 3.94 in the 10 and 30 yard splits.
