NorCal Uncommitted Games - One of top 2024 catchers in Northern California, each time we see him the tools and performance show up. Catch/throw skills are solid (76 mph, 2.01-2.08), excellent receiver, communicates well w/pitchers, blocks very well. BP highlighted 74.9 mph avg bat speed (94.9 max EV), ran 7.04. Couple of knocks in game play, punching a couple of singles through the infield. Confident in his abilities and comfortable in the game.

Even setup, with feet just outside his shoulders; bat positioned at a 45 degree angle. Loads straight back with a gliding stride for timing. Slides weight forward pre-contact. while showing an aggressive lower half. Showed a slashing stroke with two handed finish with occasional top hand release. More ground balls than line drives and fly balls with a peak exit velocity of 97 MPH via Trackman. Physical swing, strong top hand, hitterish feel with intent to do damage, did show ability to make adjustments to different locations, punishes ball up in the zone, has strong barrel awareness, bat speed is well-above average. Defensively: Starts with a low to the ground setup; utilizing both traditional and one-knee set-up while staying low during receiving. Hands soft and strong while standing up slightly early during transfer. Short take back from a high/over the top arm slot. 2.08-2.13 pop times. C - 75 MPH. On-line throws with frequent one-hops to the bag, quick arm, smooth from glove to hand with efficient actions, strong base to sit with subtle moves as a receiver, strong defensive tools projecting as above average defensive catcher.

Defense: 2.22-2.26 - Efficient exchange, hands/feet work well together, minimal wasted movement, athletic defender, displayed ability to receive in multiple setups. Arm: RH. C - 73 mph. Quick strong arm, repeatedly 'on the bag' accurate, hints of carry, quality C/T talent. Hit: RHH. Balanced setup out of slight crouch, engages lower half well, relaxed hands/arms, bars lead arm. Has bat speed and will develop some pop, hips work well, somewhat inconsistent barrel control, flattish to it with high finish, 55.6% fly ball %. Power: 88 mph exit velocity.
