6/12/22

Bay Area World Series 2022  - Uncommitted; Lean wiry body type with sinewy proportions, showed usable tools as position player (7.05 60, 85 mph SS arm) and went 2-for-3 w/2 doubles in his at-bats; future looks to be strongest on the mound relative to playing beyond HS, FB with max 2366 spin and holds plane, FB peaks 84-85 with life through the zone, feel both CB and SL (presents more like a cutter), SL has more spin and late action though CB usable on the arm side as a buckling type breaking ball, also trusts the CHG, full repertoire, just not the biggest guy and how the raw stuff ticks upward will dictate what type of opportunities he has beyond HS.

2/28/22

v Wilcox HS: Lean athletic body, smaller frame, loose easy quick arm stroke with compact backside, over top slot, finishes fully through extension, feel of 4 pitches, pitch-maker, CB 11/6 with up/down shape and depth, especially effective on the arm side to RHH, SL smoother 2-plane early break at times though flashed late action, CHG w/hints of 'Bugs' life, crisp FB up to 84-85 in 2nd inning with comeback life and ability to shave corners, showed control to bottom and top of zone, just out of basketball season and this was a cool evening, there are bigger velo numbers ahead which is great, but it's the overall repertoire, usability, athleticism (fields position very well - he's also a SS), competitiveness. 5 IP, 0 H, 2 BB, 11 K

7/14/21

Positional Profile: RHP/SS One of top 2024 RHP in Northern California.
Body: 5-10, 135-pounds. Lean strength throughout, angular, ample room in frame for future size, streamlined.
Delivery: Rhythmic, slides post foot across rubber to 1B side, slight cross body, lands in-line with target, some drop/drive away from rubber, athletic delivery.
Arm Action: RH. Overhand slot, controlled depth on backside to a small stab, quick arm, easy arm speed.
FB: T83, 80-83 mph. Quick FB with length through the zone (18.4 avg IVB), projects to be a future plus fastball beyond the HS level, release height and spin rates work well together to be effective above the belt.
CB: 67-69 mph. Fair spin at present, more lateral movement than depth, flashes potential for above average CB.
SL: 71-75 mph. Tighter spin than CB, similar movement pattern suggesting this is the better of the two pitches for him, release is similar.
CH: 73-76 mph. Feel for this pitch, straight change with similar release height to both breaking balls, gets to quality extension and takes enough the FB to project this as above average.

Defense: Sets up closed to 1st side of field, feet are live, an extra step to get rid of ball due in part to arm stroke length, plays with some urgency, is athletic and bouncy.
Arm: RH. INF - 87 mph. Longer arm action, loose arm, strong arm but release can be a touch quicker.
Hit: RHH. Open, medium width feet, slight crouch and bent at waist, deeper load, small stride, torquey hips, pronounced over-rotation of the back side. Some length into the zone, upward attack angle, abbreviated finish, has hand speed.
Power: 82 mph exit velocity via TrackMan in live BP.
Run: 7.19 runner in the 60.
