Positional Profile: SS/2B
Body: 5-11, 170-pounds. Athletic, sturdy base, some visible strength.
Defense: Bouncy, plus lateral quickness and light on feet. Plus actions with the glove.
Arm: RH. INF - 81 mph. Short, clean action, can stick in middle infield.
Hit: RHH. Neutral stance to start with a small leg kick to initiate the swing Barrel slots into position and stays level through the zone.
Power: 93 mph exit velocity. Showed pull side power and had a 2B off the wall during game play.
Run: 7.82 runner in the 60
8/18/18 - SoCal Underclass Games - Five-foot-9, 140-pounds, long, lean frame with strength in the lower half. Long limbs and squared shoulders. Appears thicker compared to when we saw him at the Underclass Trials a couple months ago. Rocha is short/quick to the ball and long through it getting full extension post contact. Consistent middle-right approach could be due to lack of physical strength at present time. Shows flashes of future potential with the bat. Hands are fast and shows feel for the barrel. Defensively Rocha shows excellent footwork with soft hands and the ability to make accurate throws from many angles. Shows good range to both sides. Plays with good body control while staying low on balls. Backhand is clean and effortless. Charges ball well and is able to bare hand and throw. Take lead type of middle-infielder; consistent on communication on field.
