Kane tossed a complete-game shutout, throwing seven innings with three hits and 10 strikeouts. He also contributed offensively, going 5-for-13 with two doubles, four RBIs, and three runs during a three-game sweep. On the season, Kane is 4-1 with a 1.67 ERA over 29.1 innings with 30 strikeouts, while hitting .311 with six doubles, a home run, and 13 RBIs.
Kane helped lead a series sweep, tossing five innings with eight strikeouts while also contributing offensively with a home run. On the season, he continues to contribute both on the mound and at the plate.
Kane had himself quite the day at the plate and on the mound for the Marauders. With three years of prior varsity experience, Kane is heading to the University of Oregon this Fall, looking to get a Section Championship ring to close out his last year. Kane wasted no time in getting ahead of hitters, he kept his pitch count low, and kept the tempo at his pace. He’s got a very repeatable motion, with a natural ¾ arm slot, his fastball has a ton of arm side run. Kane’s fastball was sitting between 90-93 mph the whole game T94, the SL was between 74-76 mph with sharp/late bite, and his changeup was around 80 mph. The three pitch mix was in full effect, and he threw 47 strikes, out of his 62 pitches. Kane went six innings, two hits, one walk, and no runs for his final line on the day. At the plate, he went 1-3 with a run and a walk, Kane pieced a ball past the shortstop on his hit, and worked a quality at bat later in the game. Excited to see where the Marauders will end up with Kane taking the charge.
Sammy Kane was one of the two-ways that participated in the NorCal ProCase. Kane is an LSU recruit and had a great season for Jesuit High School at the plate and on the mound. Kane stands at 5’10 175 lbs and has a ton of athleticism. DUring the defensive workout, he showed smooth actions in the infield, he has a three quarter arm slot but has the ability to whip it across the infield with ease. Kane had the highest infield velocity of the event at 91 mph. Kane ran a 7.22 60 YD dash but his actions on the field are a lot quicker than the 60 time. Kane had a very impressive and consistent BP as he maxed out at an EV of 100.2 mph along with an average EV of 93 mph. His offense showed up in the game as he stretched out a triple he hit into the gap, his swing plays and it may look a little unconventional but it works. On the mound, Kane was sitting between 88-91 mph topping out at 92.3 mph. His three quarter slot makes it tough for hitters to see, Kane doesn't throw anything straight, his max spin rate on his fastball was 2203 rpm. Kane mixes in a SL/CH with the slider sitting between 74-78 mph with a max spin rate of 2256. Curious to see what Kane is going to do at the next level, I’m sure the Tigers will utilize his talents effectively.
Kane is looking a lot more physical than the last time I saw him in the fall, he displayed a lot of quick actions during the pregame I/O. Kane hit in the leadoff spot but didn’t really do much as he went 0-3 on the day but did manage to lace a line drive that was caught by the LF. Where I was most impressed with Kane was his leadership on the field when he was playing shortstop and his ability to move the defense and talk with his infielders. There wasn’t a lot of hitting going on in the whole game but for the pitching, the Mararuders threw a plethora of quality arms at the Bells. He actually ended up getting the win for the Marauders as he came in the last inning and threw up a zero. The velocity was consistently sitting 91-92 MPH in his outing, the FB didn’t seem to be straight at all. The SL was at 75-75 MPH, the inning went by very quick, Kane was moving fast on the mound and wasn’t there to mess around. The athletic ‘26 has definitely made some strides since the summer time and it's looking quite promising.

Sammy Kane, JESUIT HIGH SCHOOL (CA), 2026 Louisiana State
Positional Profile: SS/RHP
Body: 6-1, 184-pounds. Wiry athletic frame with room to continue adding strength
Hit: RHH. Taller even stance with small knee bend and minimal hip hinge with hands set just above shoulder height over his rear shoulder with higher back elbow and barrel tipped forward behind his head. Medium leg lift with a forward move into foot strike while hands push back with barrel tipping up into the launch position. Weight transfers in a more linear fashion with quickness in the bat path while staying direct with his barrel to generate leverage to the middle/pull side of the field.
Power: 100 max exit velocity, averaged 86.4 mph. 361' max distance. Strength through contact with ability to drive the baseball with authority to the pull side of the field. Some inconsistency in elevating the ball, but raw power is present.
Arm: RH. INF-87 mph. Slightly longer arm action with present arm speed that shows strength, but inconsistency in the path leads to accuracy issues at times.
Defense: Plays with body control and sure hands while demonstrating rhythm in his footwork. Moves well laterally to both sides with 2 hand action looking slighlty more comfortable, but feel for 1 hand. Moves well downhill with ability to play on the run.
ATH: 7.22 runner in the 60. 1.81 and 4.05 in the 10 and 30 yard splits. Stays online well during running motion with some quickness to his strides. 28.10 max vertical.
