At the plate, Poirier features a short, efficient swing that has primarily produced a line-drive approach with a fairly level path through the zone, leading to consistent contact and quality at-bats. In this look, he showed an added dimension by lifting the ball with authority, signaling potential for more power to come as he continues to develop. Defensively, Poirier has shown versatility, moving between shortstop and second base with clean actions up the middle. The arm strength continues to trend upward, adding to his ability to stick on the dirt long term. With athleticism, positional flexibility, and now emerging power to pair with his bat-to-ball skills, Poirier is a 2028 name to know.
