9/26/20

Positional Profile: LHP
Body: 5-10, 165-pounds. Smaller frame, compact build with athletic proportions, lean strength.
Delivery: Small rocker, good athleticism, tuck pinch of lift knee, sinks into backside, uses hips well, slight cross body stride.
Arm Action: RH. Loose arm, deep on backside, quick arm, can be more consistent with control of the arm swing, high-3/4 slot.
FB: T83, 80-82 mph. Comes out of hand hot, can create above average run, sneaky quick velo due to extension, can develop better control.
CB: 66-70 mph. Flashed snappy bite, shape to get swing-miss from LHH and use back foot or backdoor to RHH, showed best feel for this pitch in his repertoire.
CH: 77 mph. Flashed only one, considerable extension to release, late fade would play well off FB as both offerings and feel of zone develops.

Bay Area World Series 2020 (BAWS) - Uncommitted; There is a lot to like in regard to his arm speed and how aggressively he throws the baseball. Athletic delivery though it wasn't consistently in sync to allow for strike throwing. The spin rates and life on the pitches are also positives for projection.

Central Valley Preseason I.D. - Max FB 81, FB 76-80, CB 64-65, CHG 70-72
Athletically built 5-foot-9, 155-pounds with a well-proportioned build. Outstanding delivery, creates good rhythm with hands/feet, clean fairly shallow backside arm action, works over the rubber well, while maintaining good direction down the slope. Firm and stable at foot strike which allows him to have a consistent release point. Quality three-pitch repertoire and just enough stuff/movement to compete to the zone with all three. Obviously not seen vs live hitters, but his tempo and delivery look like they just might allow his stuff to play up. There is some slippery fastball movement with feel to both sides, depth to the smooth big breaking ball, and the change-up came out of his hand nicely. Pinch of lift knee over the rubber in stretch suggests that he’s got a good move and ability to hold runners as well. To get four-year college interest the velocity will need to tick up a bit, but when that happens, the pitchability is already present.
