Area Code Tryout - Northwestern commit; average athletic build, wiry and lean; displayed a fair arm strength (76 mph) and release during tryout that projects beyond high school at 2nd base, good glove skills and footwork indicating he will catch the ball well and consistently do so; offensively his left-handed round was very good, disciplined and clean stroke with pure mechanics.
vs Monte Vista in NCS D1 playoff - Northwestern commit; switch-hitter was on left side in this one (0-for-2, BB, K, 4-3) facing one of top senior RHP in area (Josh White), strike out on good slider but was in the at-bat, contact oriented approach with limited power, execution type hitter for 2-hole could be his role down the line, went deep in at-bats and showed ability to lay off pitcher's pitches, good zone awareness, best talents are on defensive side, good range up the middle as shortstop, steady glove and made both routine plays, game saving diving play up middle and got to feet to narrowly get decent runner, arm is fair but accurate. Nothing flashy about him but plays important role for one of best teams in the state.
