Evan gave up three hits, while using his high 3/4 delivery to keep the Valor hitters off balance and was helped by some solid defense by Mountain Vista.

His delivery makes it a little bit difficult to pick up the baseball, especially for the right handed hitters. The arm works free and easy for both fastballs and breaking balls, he used both sides of the plate effectively and worked well changes planes vertically and challenged hitters with breaking balls in the dirt and fastballs up in the strike zone. Evan tries to attack the strike zone and only struggled with command a little bit but was able to pitch out of it effectively.

Fastball was anywhere from 84-88 with good life and the breaking ball was consistently 74-76 with some late movement. He demonstrates a competitive demeanor and appears to understand his delivery and shows the ability to self correct his mechanics during the game.

3/10/19

Uncommitted 6-foot-1, 200-pound right-hander came to the Preseason All-State as a make up for a schedule conflict and he did not disappoint. Magill has a compact delivery, slight coil in balance point, square shoulder delivery landing inline. Pounded the strike zone with all three pitches. Fastball with arm side run at 85-86 mph, touching 88 on his last pitch which was top at the event. Change had some late sink thrown at same arm speed as fastball at 77-78 mph. Riser in the state of Colorado. Division I pitcher at next level.

10/01/18

6-foot-1, 170-pound right hand hitting RHP/OF who ran a 7.39 60 time. At the plate he stands tall with a slow load on the pitch. Barrel stays in the zone with good extension out front at contact. Exit velocity was 77 mph. In the field he showed good athletic movement and glides to the ball. He delivers from a high ¾ arm slot and arm velocity was 80 mph with accuracy.  On the mound he has a smooth delivery and lands in-line on the pitch. He throws from an over the top arm slot with good extension out front. Fastball was 81 mph with good command of both sides of the plate. He also showcased a 66 mph curve with 11/5 break and a 72 mph change down in the zone.
