Sal Dastoli: C/3B, (2022) Berlin, CT. 5-foot-11, 185-pound athletic build. Above average at the plate, the right-handed hitter recorded an exit velocity of 87 mph. (64.82 mph bat speed average). (20.51 mph hand speed average). Starts in a balanced stance with a controlled load, then uses a small leg kick. Had above average bat speed, flat swing plane and good extension on his finish. Found multiple barrels with loud contact. Gap to gap approach. Behind the plate, he made strong, efficient throws to second at velocities up to 80 mph; has soft hands, consistent feet, and a clean exchange. had quick feet and transfers on his throw downs, recording a 1.97-2.00 pop time. Athletic setup with tons of flexibility. Showed a high ¾ slot and a short arm action with consistent accuracy to the bag. Recorded a 60 time of 7.6 at the event.  (Max spin ; Avg ).

Hit: (RHH) Above average. Begins in a balanced stance with a controlled load, then uses a small leg kick. Above average bat speed. Good extension on his finish, flat swing. Gap to gap approach. 

Power: 87 mph exit velocity, average 81.23 mph. 64.82 mph bat speed average. 20.51 mph hand speed average.

Defense: (C) 1.97-2.00 pop times. Soft hands, consistent footwork, clean exchange. Above average. Athletic setup with tons of flexibility. 

Arm: 80 mph catcher velocity. Short arm action, high ¾ slot, consistent accuracy. 

Speed: 7.60 (60-yard).

5-foot-11, 185-pound athletic, solid, put together well, durable catchers frame.  Above average during batting practice, Dastoli had an exit velocity of 87 mph. Started in a wide athletic stance with a smooth controlled load, then used a short stride. Bat speed is above average, shows a short upward swing plane and high finish. He barreled up multiple balls with tons of loud contact. Gap to gap approach. Showed his live arm in the infield with position velocities up to 86 mph. Behind the plate, he made strong, efficient throws to second at velocities up to 79 mph; has quick fluid feet, a twitchy exchange, and soft hands. had quick feet and transfers on his throw downs, recording a 1.96-2.14 pop time. Tons of flexibility and athletic setup. Showed a high ¾ slot and a short arm action with consistent accuracy to the base. Threw 86 mph across the diamond, hands are soft on the catch with good flow. Clocked a time of 7.25 in the 60-yard dash. One of the better catchers around, major feel and game behind the plate, a must follow this summer.

5-foot-11, 180-pound right-handed hitting catcher and corner infielder. He ran a 7.72 sixty at the event. The skill set behind the dish is solid as he is athletic and has feel for what he is doing. He threw 80 mph down to second base with a pop time of 2.03. The receiving is trending up as the glove is soft and he secures the catch. The arm has plus strength to it, may want to took a look at him on the mound. The bat has an exit velocity of 84 mph. The setup is even in base and the front foot gains ground to the ball. The bat path is uphill to contact. He tripled in the live game portion of the event. 

Exit Velocity- 84 mph

Catching Velocity- 80 mph

Pop Time- 2.03
