07/28/18- Florida International recruit, stands at 6-foot-3,182 pounds, has continued to fill out a long, lean and projectable frame. Defensively, the big frame has some stiffness, but overall presents a quality target, is a good receiver and has pop times that range in 2.07-2.1 range. As he continues to fill out and become more flexible, he has the actions to be an above average defender. Offensively, he has long levers, but stays compact through the zone. More power continues to come and will continue to improve with added strength. Has feel to hit and translated to a single in the game and a 90 mph exit velocity. Present tools and frame give him a high ceiling in the future.

1/27/18- Florida International recruit. Currently stands 6-foot-3, 178 pounds with an athletic, projectable frame. Defensively, behind the plate he showed the ability to be light on his feet with a pop time between 2.18-2.27 seconds and his throws topping out at 76 mph. Offensively, he showed gap to gap power and the ability to drive the ball with authority. As Jimenez continues to add to his frame and mature, look for a jump in power at the plate. Registered an exit velocity of 91 mph. He recorded a 60-yard dash time of 7.26 seconds.

08/06/17- FIU recruit. The 6-foot-3, 180-pound catcher has a high-waist and extremely projectable frame. Defensively, he shows above average receiving skills and flexibility for his size. His pop time was 2.2, but the arm strength is there and was accurate. It will continue to improve as the transfer to release and footwork improves. Offensive, the right-handed hitter he has present strength with long levers. He shows the ability to stay short to the ball and use his length as leverage generating present pull power with more to come. This translated to the game with multiple hard hit balls including a double over the left fielder’s head. Overall, very projectable all around and should hit with future power.

03/10/17 - The high waisted, projectable catcher stood out immediately. He has a flexible setup, especially for a big kid, where he sits low with a good target. He has plus hands for his class and really projects to be an above average receiver. He has an extremey clean, quick, easy transfer. The arm will need to get stronger but the transfer and footwork really works. Offensively, the right handed hitter has some length in the swing, but the path works and projects to have power. Very high follow.
