Long action with an over-the-top slot Defense: Easy athleticism with good footwork, plays through the ball, natural instincts, quick first step, clean on exchanges. Run: 6.55 runner in the 60. Quick feet, utilizes speed extremely well
6/24/22
5-foot-8, 155-pound right-handed hitting outfielder, athletic build, lean muscle throughout, an elite athlete. High energy, plays every play like it is his last. Wreaks havoc on the basepaths, will test the boundaries of a defense as he looks to be ultra aggressive. With 6.5 speed, he has a high success rate on the bases. At the plate, Jones has a line drive approach, looking to put the ball in play, emerging power as he fills out.
3/28/22
Uncommitted. 5 foot 8, 145 pounds of pure dynamite. One of the more memorable athletes I’ve scouted on a Georgia HS baseball field in recent years. Brings more energy than anyone on the field. Consistent barrels, drag bunts, stealing bases effortlessly, superman catches. Starting PG in basketball, starting RB in football, and the only non senior starter on North Hall’s defending champion baseball team. At the plate he has good rhythm in hands, timing+pace in hips, connected load. Gains ground lightly, creating momentum but maintaining body control. Good barrel layback, knob leads swing, compact stroke. Other than Druw Jones, there are very few on his level defensively. ++ runner.
