Positional Profile: SS/OF
Body: 6-foot-0, 165-pounds. Athletic build with lean strength throughout, room for more.
Hit: RHH. Tall, narrow setup, rhythm in hands as they smoothly load back, leg kick timing trigger, good balance. Some length in barrel path to the zone, early timing allows for him to get out front and extended, creating driving contact middle/pull, quick hand and bat speed, and easy effort.
Power: 93.6 max exit velocity, averaged 71.6 mph. 344’ max distance.
Arm: RH. INF - 84 mph. Short, loose arm action to a 3/4 slot, some carry, accurate.
Defense: Plays through the ball with short, quick feet, fields out front and funnels into mid section, clean on exchanges, creates momentum towards the target.
Run: 6.82 runner in the 60. Clean gait, quick feet.
McCoy showed off a smooth, easy swing at the plate. He produced lots of barrels during his round, using the entire field with a max exit velocity of 91. An athletic 6-foot, 160, McCoy also ran a 6.95 60.
