6-foot-1, 180-pounds, lanky upper body with solid lower half. Great mechanics on the bump working along a straight line, great sync with upper body and lower body mechanics. Over the top arm action with downward action on all pitches, which results in a lot of ground balls. Very poised with great command of all pitches. Has the ability to throw all in any count, locating in the bottom quadrant of the zone. Heavy FB sitting 85-87 T89. CB sits 74-76 with depth. CH sits 80-82 with fade, go to pitch when behind in count. Fluid arm with little stress.

Lankie, a Georgia recruit, was easily one of the most polished arms that took the mound at the NPI, which only helped to bolster the big stuff that he pumped out. The 6-foot-1, 180-pound right-hander looks closer to 6-foot-2, and worked 88-90 with an efficient fastball that saw some hop through the zone as he confidently placed it, with intent, to all quadrants. Quick-armed with some steepness to the plane, Lankie’s slider is a separator at 79-81 with short break and tight spin that tunnels the fastball with late separation at the plate. He looks every bit the part of a future starter, and the game management and ability to disrupt timing stand out at a young age.

Georgia commit. 6-foot-1, 180-pound right-handed pitcher, athletic build, continues to add strength to frame, one of the top overall arms in the ‘23 class. Got the start against a talented Carrollton lineup and went right after them. Fastball sat 90-91 with good tilt, both sides of the plate. Slider, 76-78, downer, sharp action, good feel, swing and miss pitch. Changeup, 80-81, heavy fade, drops slot some when throwing, located armside. Effectively pitched backwards against the top of the order, throwing a heavy amount of sliders and changeups for strikes.

Georgia commit. 6-foot 150-pounds, athletic build with proportional strength throughout. Avg width slope shoulders, Arm works easy through ¾ slot. Modified full windup is consistent & rhythmic, Repeats it like clockwork. Great feel for use of lead arm/position and back leg drive, delivery is very directional and repeats release with ease. FB 83-86 with arm side run, uses in & out for quality strikes. Misses intentionally to set up. CB 73-76 tight rotation; has true CB depth at 73-74; takes on more SL character 75-76, has power to get under hands of lefty. CH 74-75 takes on sinking life has good deception outta that delivery Bottom line, carves hitters up and he does it on purpose. No mercy, he uses aggressive tempo & the stuff stated above with a feel for pitching so far beyond his years. In the clip below watch the rhythm in the hands w/the rocker step & leg kick, while you watch this sequence of pitches that goes; FB, CB, FB, CH all in 32 seconds and imagine that for 7 innings

Georgia commit. 6-foot 145-pounds, lanky, athletic frame with a clean arm action. The freshman came in to close the game out for the Titans. He looks extremely confident and composed on the mound. Very mature for his age, the moment did not seem to bother him at all. Lankie has a really clean and effortless delivery that projects more velocity to come. His slider is good, but will only get better with time.  His delivery looks much cleaner than when we saw him in August. Fastball was 83-86 with good movement, stayed down in the zone and dominated the lower-half. Used the slider as his out pitch, and threw it off his fastball.

6-foot, 145-pound right-handed pitcher, lanky athlete, strong lower half, projectable build. Arm works short and clean on the back-side with looseness, high ¾ slot, repeats well. Drop and drive delivery, rides down the mound landing square, finishes crossing over towards first base. Fastball sat 82-85 with armside run, controlled the zone with. Curveball, 12/6 shape, depth, when located low in the zone had late bite, dropping off the table, 71-73. Also offered up a changeup at 75, used sparingly.

6-foot, 145 pounds; wiry frame. Frame looks to add strength and weight. Quick, loose arm, that really works. Rotational finish. Fastball ranged from 80-84mph; could go either side of the plate with it. Had probably the best three-pitch-mix of the weekend. Confidently threw changeup and curveball in any count. CB sat 71-74 and CH sat at 70mph with low sink. Overall, solid arm with good command.
