Physical: 5-foot-10, 150 pounds; athletic, lean frame. 6.69 runner in the 60.
Offensively: RHH. Slightly open stance with hands shifted past the back shoulder; hovers his foot backward and plants back neutral while also working the hands in the same direction. Low effort lower half, sometimes drifting into contact with likeable swing path, stays in the zone for a good time. Worked consistently middle/oppo approach; peak Trackman exit velocity of 85 MPH.
Defensively: Upright set up, one leg in front of the other; tracked the ball well, showed athleticism in all actions. Good hands, worked through the ball into transfer with big crow hop; strong armed OF, cut it loose at 88 mph in his evaluation. OF - 86 MPH.
Pitching: Methodical in delivery, getting some shoulder tilt on his way down the mound. Interesting arm due to arm strength from the outfield. Could transfer OF velo to the mound if he can learn how to take momentum down the slope properly. Quick arm out of a completely over the top slot, creates good angle on the ball. FB: T 81MPH, 78-81 MPH. Fastball has great life at the top of the zone. CB: 67-69 MPH. Tall, slow breaking ball that has good depth. CH: 68-69 MPH. Changeup shows the ability to be a quality pitch in the future as he continues to develop.
