9.16.18 - Uncommitted Senior, currently ranked No. 199 in IL 2019 class. 5-foot-9, 140-pound, left-handed pitcher, small, athletic frame. Pitches with composure in game, locked in on the mound. Low effort delivery, compact balance point, works in-line, easy athletic finish. Gets foot down and letts the arm work. Arm action is short and quick, generates whippy arm speed, high ¾ slot. Changes tempo when runners on, deceptive pick to first. Fastball worked straight, both side of the plate, 81-82 mph, topped 83 mph. Curveball has depth, plus secondary pitch with 1/7 break, manipulates it, 68-69 mph. Slider, 2/8 shape with nice wrinkle, 72-75 mph.
6.12.18 - 5-foot-9, 140-pound, athletic left-handed pitcher. Short, clean arm action, hides well on back-side, quick arm speed, maintains good balance on leg kick, easy effort throughout. Tall and fall delivery, smooth rhythm, works on-line, lands square, fundamentally sound. Fastball, slight run, kept around zone, 80-81. Curveball, 1/7 shape, thrown with intent, sharp action, 67-68. Slider, 2/8 shape, cutter-like movement, 71-72. Changeup, demonstrated multiple actions, sink, run or fade at-times, 75-76. Has feel for all four pitches.
9.30.17 - Uncommitted. 5-foot-9, 150-pound left-handed pitcher, young, underdeveloped frame. Knows what he is doing out there. Pounds the zone with three pitches, excellent tempo, balance and rhythm, works fast and misses barrels. Struck out the side in the first inning behind sneaky 78-80 mph fastball that had late arm-side life. Advanced feel for changeup in low-70s, and drops in curveball for strikes, too. Arm works clean and easily, high-¾ slot. Repeats low-effort delivery consistently. With added strength, velocity should bump in the future.
1.15.17 - 5-foot-7, 136-pound left-handed pitcher. Balanced repeatable delivery, little effort, works on line with balanced finish. Arm action is loose and clean, high ¾ slot. Showed excellent feel for his fastball, projects as a command type left-hander, sat 75-78 mph. Curveball has feel, above average action, flashed sharp 1/7 shape, 64-66 mph. Changeup sat 70-73 mph with action occasionally pulled to glove side.
