5.9.17 - Currently ranked No. 45 in the Illinois’ 2018 class. 5-foot-10, 190-pound, strong, sturdy, right-handed hitting outfielder. Known mostly for his prowess on the mound and mid-to-upper 80’s fastball. On this day played left field and had a big day at the plate. Hit in the five-hole and went 2-for-3 with two doubles, two RBI and a run scored. Slightly open setup, strength in swing, minimal wasted movement, bat stays flat through the zone, gets extension and works gap-to-gap. Doubled off the left-field wall and doubled into the right-center field gap. Defensively is athletic enough to play the corner infield but was playing left-field on this day. Strong, accurate arm from the outfield.
