2.15.15 - 6-foot-1, 190-pound two-way player, wide shouldered, thick build with strength. Right-handed hitter, balanced stance, short stride, good balance through contact. Strong muscled swing, violent, some effort, strong bat speed, pull side approach. 89 mph exit velocity from the tee. Defensively plays with a long over the top arm action, showed accuracy to his target, 85 mph arm strength. Ran a 7.39 in the 60. On the mound delivery has effort, over the top slot, long arm action. Fastball has sinking action, 81-83 mph, touched 84 mph. Curveball sat 67-70 mph, flashed 12/6 action. Changeup has some feel, mostly straight change, slight sink. 71-73 mph.

12.14.14 - 6-foot-1, 190-pound right-handed pitcher/shortstop impressed with his arm on the mound and hitting ability. Hits from a wide base, no stride, hands load back smoothly, short level bat path, gets extension, advanced approach at the plate produced line drives to all fields, with well above average 86 mph exit velocity. Showed arm strength across the diamond with carry from shortstop, 78 mph. Hands fit more on the corner infield spots. On the mound, fastball sat 82-84 mph with arm side run when down in the zone. 67-69 mph curveball flashed 111/5 shape, late break when down in the zone. 69-71 mph changeup flashed arm side run when in the zone. Leff has a live arm, but missed to his arm side and struggled command wise at times, due to rushing. Long, high ¾ arm slot, slight hook in the back of arm swing, toe down at balance point, shoulders work slightly uphill in delivery, lands slightly closed. Ran a 7.47 60 yard dash, slipping at the start. Leff has plenty of arm strength, and is a prospect to watch closely the next two years in Illinois.
