Kaskaskia JC commit. Thompson helped lead Marion to a 2-0 win over Mattoon in their Regional Semifinal win. Thompson threw a complete-game shutout on the mound, struck out eight, walked four, allowed no runs and five hits. At the plate he walked twice and scored one run.
Kaskaskia CC commit. Thompson kept his hot streak alive this week after going 5-for-10 with a home run, three RBIs, and six runs scored last week. Against Clifton Central, Thompson was 2-for-3 with an RBI and two runs scored. Against Carterville he added two hits, one being a double, with two runs scored and a walk. To cap off his stellar week, against Herrin, Thompson went 4-for-5 with two doubles and four RBIs. He ended the week going 8-for-11 (.727 avg.) with three doubles, five RBIs, and four runs scored.
