2/14/16 - 5-foot-10, 185-pound catcher, solid frame. Defensively showed solid tools behind the dish, arm action is short and over the top, occasional carry, good accuracy, 77 mph out of the crouch. Pop times ranged 2.01-2.07. Right-handed hitter, balanced stance, short stride, average balance. Path works uphill, opposite field contact, late timing. Flashed bat strength, 86 mph exit velocity from the tee. 7.63 runner in the 60.
10.18.15 - 5-foot-10, 180-pound catcher, solid stocky build. Defensively arm action is short and over the top, 72 mph out of the crouch, showed occasional accuracy. Exchange is efficient and clean, directional footwork, pop times ranged 2.07-2.11. Ran the 60 at 7.66, laser timed. Offensively flashed occasional bat strength, 88 mph exit velocity from the tee. Right-handed hitter, balanced setup, short stride, quiet loading action. Path works slightly uphill, mostly mid-oppo contact with occasional top spin pull.
7.8.15 - 5-foot-10, 175-pound, strong, right-handed hitting catcher. Crouched, balanced stance, with a deep pre-pitch load. Sets his hands low, looks to pull and lift the baseball. 83 mph exit velocity. Hit a ground rule double in game play. Defensively, had pop times ranging from 2.19-2.26. Throws were consistently around the bag. Throws from a high ¾ slot and loose arm action. Was clocked at 72 mph from the crouch. Also, ran a 5.01 home to first.
1.18.15 - 5-foot-11, 175-pound catcher, solid build, sturdy catchers frame. Defensively arm played at 71 mph, short over the top arm action, some accuracy, good glove to hand transfer. Pop times posted at 2.11-2.25. Well above average receiver for his age. Offensively hits from a balanced stance, short stride, excellent balance. Short path, line drive, gap to gap approach, worked the middle of the field, advanced bat speed for age, strong swing, 89 mph exit velocity from the tee. 7.28 runner in the 60. Strong catch and throw prospect with well above average hit tool.
10.26.14 - 5-foot-11, 175-pound right-handed hitting catcher with a strong lower half. Hits from a balanced setup, short stride, high back elbow setup, uphill bat path with pull tendencies and power potential. Produced above average for age 80 mph exit velocity off the tee. Defensively, threw 71 mph from the crouch from short, over-the-top arm slot with pop times to second ranging from 2.18-2.28 seconds with accuracy on the bag. Ran a 7.76 60.
6/17/14 - 5-foot-11, 175-pound catcher with strong lower half impressed in live batting practice session producing 83 mph exit velocity. Hits from a wide open setup with hands starting low and forward rocking back to load position. Above average bat speed with uphill, opposite field approach creating back spin on several line drives to right center. Defensively, threw 68 mph from the crouch producing pop times between 2.26-2.34. Ran a 7.7 60.
1/20/14 – Reed is 5-foot-10 175-pound catcher with projectable skill sets behind the plate. He has a fluid, clean and quick exchange with a short release. He pop-times were between 2.18 and 2.25. He showed soft hands and had a positional velo of 71 MPH. He also ran a 7.28 60. Offensively, Reed has an uphill bat path but showed good bat speed producing an exit velo of 83 MPH. He has good balance and a pull approach.
