Missouri commit, ranked No. 20 overall in the Illinois’ 2024 class. Large, highly physical 6-foot-2, 230-pound frame with broad sturdy shoulders and noticeable lower half strength. Toed the rubber in a start for the Kahoks against Edwardsviille. Quick worker, drop/drive delivery, stays connected to his backside through footstrike, strides across body. Short arm action, ¾ slot. Fastball touched 91 in the second, sat 87-90 mph throughout, backspun it when he stayed behind the baseball, and did cut it at times. Turned to a tight slider often that flashed swing-and-miss spin at 79-80 mph towards the glove-side of the plate, developing consistency.

Bagwell turned in one of the weekend’s most dominant outings, punching out 15 batters in 6 ⅔ scoreless innings for Extreme Elite National. The Mizzou commit boasts a physical 6-foot-2, 230-pound frame with durability and uses his size to generate power down the mound, sitting at 86-89 mph with a 90 mph high in this look. Bagwell turned to a 74-76 mph slider as his primary secondary pitch, spinning it with confidence and conviction throughout his outing. He landed it for strikes at ease and he also occasionally spotted it out of the zone for whiffs, too. Bagwell faded a low-80s changeup sparingly throughout his outing - a pitch that’s improved since we last saw him in the high school season.

Missouri commit. 6-foot-2, 230-pound, broad-chested, durable, work-horse type frame. Came out of the bullpen for one inning and hit in the middle of the order. Drop and drive delivery, lands square. Short, compact arm action plays from a ¾ to high ¾ slot. Slider was a separator; showed advanced feel, matches his slot, and worked tight on a 10/4 plane with 2400+ rpm. Landed for strikes consistently and went to as a chase pitch off the corner as well. Fastball showed spottier control, worked mostly straight, occasional cut to the glove side, sat 86-88 mph for his one inning of work. Struck out two and did not allow a run in his outing. Right-handed hitter, flashed advanced bat speed and a knack for hard contact. Finished 1-for-3 with a double, two RBI's and a run scored.
