2.19.17 - 6-foot, 175-pound left-handed hitting shortstop. Offensively hits from a narrow, open setup with a leg lift stride and good balance. Arm bar load with an uphill swing path. Showed strength thru contact with 88 mph exit velocity from a tee. Ran the 60 at 7.02. Defensively has a short arm action from a low ¾ slot. Slower actions and footwork. Threw 79 mph across the infield.
3.26.16 - Ranked No. 16 in the Illinois 2018 class. 6-foot, 175-pound, strong and athletic shortstop. Hits from the left-side and runs extremely well for his age. Went 0-for-2, with an HBP on the day from the leadoff spot. On a groundout to short in his last at-bat he looked safe, running a 4.07 down the line. Starts from a balanced setup with slight pre-pitch rhythm in his hands. Leg-lift timing trigger, a short path, quick hands and cuts himself off on his finish. Defensively, flashed reliable hands on the infield. Throws from a ¾ slot, occasionally lower with enough present arm strength to play the left side of the diamond.
4.10.15 - 6-foot, 185-pound athletic freshman shortstop doesn’t look like a frosh in the middle of the diamond. Hits from the left side, slightly open stance, short stride, back elbow raised up, short, level bat path, lined out hard to short in second at bat. Grounded out to second in third at bat, 4.59 to first. Defensively, advanced middle infield actions for a freshman, short, quick, high ¾ arm slot, showed off range on one play sliding to his backhand after moving initially to cover second base with a runner in motion. Slid to backhand and made throw from the hole to nab the runner after redirecting body. According to coach Jeff Petrovic has made one error all season for the Indians. High follow prospect in the 2018 class.
