Lincoln Trail JC commit. 6-foot-3, 200-pound, long-levered right-handed pitcher with strength throughout. Got the start on the mound for Naperville Central. Got the tide turned in the Redhawks favor early on, striking out three in the bottom of the first inning and working out of a bases loaded jam. Skidmore ended up going 5.2 innings, allowing four hits, one earned run, striking out eight and walking two. Skidmore works from an over-the-top slot and his 85-88 mph fastball stays on plane at the top of the zone, resulting in a number of swings and misses. He plays his top-to-bottom, downer, 70-72 mph curveball off that same plane and slot, making for an uncomfortable/tough at-bat at times. Skidmore has been one of the top arms for Naperville Central all spring.
Positional Profile: RHP
Body: 6-2, 180-pounds.
Delivery: Stretch only, tall and fall delivery, directional down the mound and lands front-toe closed.
Arm Action: RH. Long arm action, over-the-top slot.
FB: T81, 78-80 mph. Works straight, occasional finish through the zone.
CB: 65-66 mph. 12/6 shape, depth, lands for strikes.
CH: 70-73 mph. Fastball arm speed, slight fade action at times.
