At the plate, from the right-side Gross showed feel to drive the ball on a line, especially to his pull side, Gross averaged 90.3 off the barrel and topped out at 96.7 mph. Defensively in the outfield, Gross used his 6.74 speed to glide to the baseball, taking fluid and proper routes with arm strength up to 90 mph.
