8.9.16 - Recent McHenry County JC commit. 6-foot-1, 185-pound, strong, athletic, right-handed hitting infielder. 6.73 runner in the laser timed 60. Offensively, bat speed, short, level path through the hitting zone, line-drive approach, fluid rhythm; exit velocity clocked at 92 mph. Hard contact and ability to backspin the baseball. Balanced setup, short stride, maintains balance through contact. Defensively, soft hands, clean exchange, athletic actions in the infield. Short, loose, accurate arm from an over the top slot; 84 mph across the infield.

1.31.16 - Solid build 6-foot-1, 185-pound physical frame right-handed hitting infielder. Showed an impressive combination of speed and power. Ran a 4.34 home-to-first and registered a 96 mph exit velocity at the event. Offensively, quiet, simple approach with strength and bat speed. Flashed hard contact with the ability to backspin the baseball. Short, level bat path and good balance. Defensively, he continued to impress on the infield. Soft hands, athletic fielding position and a clean exchange. Long, over-the-top arm action with carry and clocked at 83 mph.

Summer 2020: When healthy, the top positional prospect is 3B Jeff Heinrich (South Carolina). At 6-foot, 205 pounds he is built more like a college wrestler than baseball player. With this strength he has some stiffness and has been susceptible to muscle strains. Although he has improved his flexibility since last summer, he’s muscle bound and there is more work to do. In the batter’s box he shows near 70-grade raw power in batting practice and produces consistent hard contact during games. He currently leads the team in batting average (.339) slugging (.589) and RBI (16). He’s also an above average runner with plus arm strength. Heinrich has top five round potential if he can remain healthy throughout the course of the 2021 spring season.

10/1/2018: 6-foot-1, 185-pound, physically advanced, strong, athletic, right-handed hitting infielder. Hit .466 with four home runs in a limited number of games last spring. 6.89 runner in the 60. At the plate, quiet, simple swing, strong, loose hands, advanced bat strength and hard line-drive contact. Defensively, profiles at third base. Natural infield actions, soft hands and strong accurate arm. High-follow right-handed hitter.
