+ SO. RHP Jerry Vasek (Westmont) is an imposing frame on the mound, standing at 6-foot-5, 240 pounds, showing some loud profiles on the mound. Controlled actions, with a hinge into the back leg, coming through a catapult motion. Works a high ¾ slot, clean full-circle AA. Vasek showcased a true ride fastball sitting 83-86 mph, gaining up to 21.6 IVB, with cutting action. The curveball was a true 12-6 profile with the ability to land for strikes, sitting 69-70 mph. The slider has a sweeper profile working with up to -10 inches of horizontal movement, sitting in the low-70s. Then the changeup was mid-70s, dropping straight off the fastball. All the movement profiles are late through the zone, making Vasek an intriguing arm to know within the staff.

+ FR. RHP Jerry Vasek (Westmont, IL) stands at an imposing 6-foot-5, 240-pound frame. Simple and easy mover through the delivery with feel to repeat. The arm plays clean with arm speed out of the ¾ slot. Fastball plays with life out of the hand at 84-87 mph with life and carry, showed a tight slider in the upper-70s off the fastball as well as a running changeup in the low-80s, rounding off his arsenal Vasek showed a sinker in the 83-84 mph bucket.
