He works with an uphill path that stays compact with an intent to lift the ball. Connelly batted out of the five-hole in a talented Knights lineup and will be an uncommitted bat to follow throughout the spring.
RHP/OF Kyle Connelly (Lincoln-Way Central, 2024) hosts a compact frame at 5-foot-11, 195-pounds. He put together an impressive two-way performance during the club’s second matchup of the weekend, recording a go-ahead RBI on a hard base-hit to his pull-side late in the game and firing 3.1 scoreless innings. On the mound, he operates with a short arm action from a high ¾ window. He offered a heavy dose of low-80s fastballs, consistently working inside on hitters.
