6-foot-2, 170-pounds, high-waisted, athletic, left/left two-way prospect made a strong impression at his first Prep Baseball showcase. Crowder had shown well multiple times in Prep Baseball Tournaments in the past and solidified his status with this recent showing. Crowder is a fluid overall mover who ran a 6.85 60, took an easy all-fields round of BP and then ran his fastball up to 89 mph while showing feel for two breaking balls and a fading changeup. High-follow two-way prospect in the class.
Positional Profile: LHP/OF
Body: 6-2.2, 165-pounds. Wiry, high-waisted frame, room for projection.
Hit: LHH. Open setup, short leg kick stride works back to even, quiet hands pre-pitch, linear lower-half. Flat and balanced swing, line-drives, easy, uses the whole field. 62.8 mph bat speed with 11g of rotational acceleration.
Power: 94 mph max exit velocity (87.4 avg.); 308-foot max batted distance.
Arm: LH. OF - 88 mph. Full arm action, 3/4 slot.
Defense: Athletic actions, works through the baseball, clean and athletic routes.
Athletic Testing: 6.85 runner in the 60-yard dash; 27.60-inch max vertical jump.
Vizual Edge: 62.25 Edge Score.
Delivery: Simple mover, controlled at balance, drop/drive down the mound.
Arm Action: LH. Clean, shorter arm path, high 3/4 slot.
FB: T89, 86-88 mph. Comes out of the hand clean, plays straight. T2329, 2306 average rpm.
CB: 70-74 mph. 1/7 shape, depth, plays low in the zone. T2219, 2121 average rpm.

Uncommitted. Good first look in his start on Friday and another good look in his relief outing on Tuesday. On Friday he showcased mainly a two pitch mix and threw on change-up with solid command for both his fastball and his curveball. On Friday his fastball topped out at 85 and lived primarily in the 82-84 range and his curveball was 73-74 and on Tuesday sat primarily in the same range, but his fastball topped out at 86.
