OF Luke Joseph (Lake Forest) impressed throughout his round of BP on Sunday. Equipped with a muscular build at 6-foot, 190-pounds, Joseph worked his max EV up to 95.1 mph throughout his round while staying on the sweet spot 50% of the time per TrackMan, also creating 20.2 G’s of average rotational acceleration. The right-handed hitter displayed quick hands through the zone, staying on top of the baseball with strong hands, he also displayed impressive balance throughout his operation and through impact. He’ll be an intriguing bat to keep tabs on this coming spring.

Body: 6-0, 190-pounds. Strength throughout, athletic build.
Hit: RHH. Wide base, slightly back of center in set up, gathers into back leg, lands centered and balanced. Quick hands and barrel through the zone, stays on top of the baseball, strength in the hands, maintains balance through impact. 70.2 mph bat speed with 20 G’s of rotational acceleration.
Power: 95 max exit velocity, averaged 84.9 mph. 316’ max distance.
Arm: LH. OF - 80 mph. Short arc, 3/4 slot, accurate.
Defense: Attacks the baseball, plays through with intent, two-hand gather, one-hand gather off to the side at times.
Run: 7.22 runner in the 60.

Delivery: Tall and fall delivery with some rhythm, easy effort, works in line, lands squared.
