4.14.15 - 6-foot-1, 195-pound physical right-handed hitting right fielder impressed with strength and bat speed during batting practice and in game play. Cleanup hitter hits from a wide base, short stride, short, powerful path. Singled hard with a line drive pas the shortstop on an 89 mph Holba fastball in first at bat. Walked twice, hit by a pitch, reached safely in last at bat on an infield pop up lost in the lights. Showed above average arm strength in pregame, carry and accuracy on throws, short, over-the-top arm slot. Unsigned senior, is a prospect to follow.
6.19.13 - 6-foot-1, 175-pound outfielder, athletic frame, shows strength in his build. Showed an accurate, above average arm for his age, throwing 79 mph from the outfield with carry. Displayed athleticism defensively playing through the ball, fielding and exchanging cleanly with fluid footwork and an athletic crow-hop. Offensively, hits from a balanced setup with a short stride. Gap-to-gap hitter who showed a solid approach at the plate. Hits off a firm front side and flashed occasional pop –84 mph exit velocity – and maintains balance throughout the swing. 7.36 60.
The lanky 6-foot, 165-pound Zielonko showed well in the outfield, taking good routes to the ball with a clean transfer and short, quick arm that showed some carry (74 mph) while playing through the ball. At the plate, Zielonko showed some pull side power potential, consistently barreling up the ball and riving hard to the left side. Zielonko is an intriguing Class of 2015 player who you may want to keeps your eyes on.
