SO. RHP Mercer Krantz (Lyons Township) the 5-foot-10, 180-pound right-handed led the event in fastball velocity, running the fastball up to 90 mph, sitting in the upper-80s and holding velocity throughout. Flashed a curveball in the mid 70s with an average spin rate of 2353 rpm, and an average IVB of -15 in. The slider was thrown in the upper-70s with an average spin rate of 2683 rpm and showed command/feel. The right-handed worked a change up in the low 80s with an average of 17 inches of horizontal movement.

Rock Valley commit. Gave a loud look out of the ‘pen with high-octane stuff. Attacked hitters with an explosive fastball, playing in the mid-80s and reaching up to 88 mph. Showed a sharp slider in the 75-77 mph range. Bullpen profile, simple delivery with some effort, drop/drive while staying in-line, higher ¾ slot, quick arm.

Uncommitted. Compact, 5-foot-8, 155-pound frame. Came out of the ‘pen was dominant over his 3.1 innings of work, not allowing a single run and scattering just two hits while walking two and striking out two. Quick, up-tempo delivery, high balance point, works in-line down the mound. Clean, quick arm that plays from a high ¾ release. Fastball worked in the 80-84 mph range, attacking the zone and playing with some cut at times. Knack to spin the breaking ball at 72-74 mph, playing with 11/5 shape for swing and miss.

Delivery: Simple, athletic delivery, high leg lift with tuck, drop/drive delivery.
Arm Action: RH. Clean, quick arm action, 3/4 slot.
FB: T80, 75-78 mph. Straight actions mostly, has some cut at times, throws for strikes. T2297, 2223 average rpm.
CB: 65-67 mph. Knuckle-curve, short break, developing. T2516, 2256 average rpm.
SL: 66-68 mph. 10/4 shape, short, lands. T2438, 2367 average rpm.
SPLT: 72-74 mph. Hard downer action, located to both sides of the dish, best of the offspeed.
