4/10/14 - Junior catcher, impressed behind the plate with soft hands and strong accurate throwing arm in between innings.  Pop times varied from 2.0-2.2.  Worked hard in game and showed the ability to block the baseball in the dirt. At the plate sets up wide and hits from a crouch, with a level bat path and the ability to drive the baseball. Doubled off the wall in left on an 86 mph fastball in his first plate appearance. Also doubled in his final plate appearance. Lacks size at 5-foot-9, but put together and looked to weigh more than 155-pound listed weight.

2/20/12 McGee is a 5-foot-9, 155-pound third baseman who showed solid hands and good footwork defensively.  At the plate, McGee showed some rhythm, starting from a crouched setup while demonstrating a level bat path.  McGee has a fundamental approach at the plate with some bat whip as he sprayed line drives to all fields.  Additionally, McGee ran a 4.59 home to first.
