10/21/12 - Costanzo established himself as one of the premier left-handed prospects in the Midwest. The 6-foot, 165-pounder earned top prospect honors at the event after his electric bullpen. Coming from a high-3/4 angle, Costanzo’s 87-88 mph fastball exhibited hard, late arm-side life. He also showcased a 72-75 mph curveball with sharp two-plane action. His curveball showed the potential to be a swing-and-miss pitch at the next level. He also showed a firm 79-80 mph changeup that had some cut and sink action. All three pitches he threw with confidence and with similar arm action. Costanzo has an extremely quick arm, and is athletic and deceptive in his delivery.
