A strong 6-foot, 215-pound frame, Fares showed well during his start Thursday night. The right-hander tossed four innings, allowing two runs on three hits and two walks, while striking out four. Working with a two-pitch mix, the fastball was sitting 80-81 mph, T83 mph, and the curveball was sitting 70-71 mph, a good change of pace pitch. Fares works from a quick, high-kick motion, getting into his lower half and driving through. The arm works from a ¾ slot, with clean and quick action. The righty was able to fill up the zone and keep hitters off-balance early in his outing. Fares impressed throughout the weekend at the plate as well. Ended the weekend 5-for-10 with three doubles. Worked multiple quality at bats for walks. Wide stance with a leg lift and quiet hands. Slightly uphill bat path with a gap to gap approach.
