Triton JC commit. Byrdak earned the win on the mound against Mt. Vernon, tossing three innings, striking out five, walking two and allowing one hit.
Triton JC commit, got the start for Lockport in their second game on Friday night and punched out five over three innings of work. Byrdak is an athletic 5-foot-8, 145-pounds, who also plays middle infield for the Porters when he’s not on the hill. The future Trojan only allowed one hit over the course of his outing, sitting 81-83 mph (T84) with his fastball that had sink to it, while also going to a low 70’s curveball that showed occasional 12/6 action and missed barrels. Byrdak is a top of the rotation arm for the Porters that will be worth monitoring throughout the spring.
