R-FR. RHP Nathan Byrdak (Lockport) impressed in his bullpen, showcasing high spin throughout. Byrdak tossed his fastball at 85-85 mph with an avg. spin rate of 2491 rpm and 18 in. of avg. HM. The curveball sat 72-74 mph with an avg. of 2684 rpm and -14 in. of avg. IVB, flashed a slider in the mid-70s with nearly 2700 rpm avg., and showed a changeup in the low-80s.

Byrdak is an athletic 5-foot-8, 145-pounds, who also plays middle infield for the Porters when he’s not on the hill. The future Trojan only allowed one hit over the course of his outing, sitting 81-83 mph (T84) with his fastball that had sink to it, while also going to a low 70’s curveball that showed occasional 12/6 action and missed barrels. Byrdak is a top of the rotation arm for the Porters that will be worth monitoring throughout the spring.
