Facing the toughest conference in the state, the left-hander flourished in the limelight, as he posted a 7-1 record with a 1.83 ERA. In 48.2 innings, Altobella notched 69 strikeouts behind his mid-80s fastball and solid breaking ball. Opponents hit just .186 against him.
