Iowa Western commit. Athletic, two-way prospect showed well over the course of two games for Quincy. At the plate, right-handed hitter, simple, quiet setup in the box. Minimal wasted movement and athletic, quick hands. Stays short and level to the ball, controls the barrel with present bat speed and uses the middle of the field. Was on the barrel with authority over the course of the day, including a backspin line-drive over the center fielder’s head that resulted in a triple. One of the hardest hit balls of the tournament. Arm plays easy and with life across the diamond from shortstop. Also, hopped on the mound where his arm showed even better. Quick, lively arm and his fastball topped at 88 mph in his relief appearance. Tries to work his fastball down in the zone with heavy, hard sink at times; handcuffed the catcher on a couple of occasions. Also, showed a mid-70’s breaking ball with slurve action. Two-way prospect with arm talent and athleticism.
