Sophomore. 6-foot, 195-pounds, athletic/strong build. Quick right-handed stroke at the plate with a flat path and line-drive approach; averaged 93.8 mph off the bat with a max EV of 98.7 mph (357’ max distance). Boon put up some impressive BLAST metrics as well; with an average hand speed of 24.1 mph (T25.2) and average rotational acceleration of 25.3 (T31.8).
6-foot, 200-pound right-handed pitcher, strong and durable build. Went six innings with three strikeouts and two unearned runs, induced multiple soft rollovers. Drop and drive style, strides open, hips open early with arm speeding through a high ¾ window, quick and clean arm for classification, easy effort. Fastball came out of the hand firm and downhill with tilt and heavy run at times, seemed to have a 2-seam/4-seam mix, ranged 79-82 mph, topped 83 mph. Velo can easily jump as he hones in mechanics. Power breaking ball, throws it hard with bite, 67-68 mph. Tough bullpen matchup guy.
