6/8/15 - 6-foot-2, 175-pound, right-handed pitcher, with a lanky, athletic frame. Currently ranked No. 88 in the Illinois Class of 2015. Ohio University commit. Showed 2-way abilities this spring as Jacobs lead off man/centerfielder and No. 1 pitcher. Pitched against Boylan in the Sectional Championship. Works from a high ¾ arm slot, with a short arm circle in back, but gets extension out front. Quick arm, with an athletic delivery. Short stride in line with homeplate. Showed quick feet on pickoffs. Fastball sat in the 84-86 mph range most of the game. Reached back for 88-89 mph when he got two strikes. Slider showed tight rotation at 74-77 mph. At the plate hits from a balanced setup, with good barrel control. 4.29 down the line on a groundout.

4.8.15 - 6-foot-2, 175-pound, right-handed hitting outfielder with a thin athletic build. Currently ranked No. 87 in the IL class of 2015. Committed to Ohio University. Takes good routes in the outfield with fluid movements. At the plate hits from a balanced setup with a loose athletic swing. 4.09 down the line on a bunt single. Went 2-3 in game.

5/7/13 - Looks to be high-level, high-rank prospect. Athletic 6-foot-1 two-way player. Showed plus arm strength from outfield in pregame, and moves well. Offensively, demonstrated impressive bat speed and barrel whip through zone in two at-bats. High-follow prospect. 

The lean and athletic 6-foot, 155-pound two-way talent projects as an elite prospect, showcasing well in the field and on the mound. Sargent displayed quick feet and soft hands to go with an accurate arm across the field. Sargent's foot speed and athleticism was also shown during his home to first time of a 4.33. At the plate, he demonstrated a level swing which found the barrel consistently while hitting line drives. On the mound, Sargent came from a high 3/4 arm slot with a long easy arm action. The lean right-hander's fastball sat at 71-73 mph. He also flashed a tight curveball and arm side movement on his change. Sargent is another eighth-grader who we're sure you will be reading about a lot in the future.

The 6-foot, 150-pound two-way prospect showed solid hands, defensive actions and an accurate arm in the field. At the plate he exhibited a smooth and balanced swing which found the barrel. Sargent's level swing, with continued physical development, will look to gain strength and power over time. On the mound the two-way talent came from a high 3/4 arm slot with an easy arm action.
