RHP Sam Pritchard (Grayslake North, 2022) returns to the Golden Eagles with 24 innings under his belt from last season, striking out 39 along the way. 6-foot-1, 190-pound frame with strength in the lower-half and round shoulders. The big right-hander has a clean operation with a fluid tempo, working with a controlled leg lift into a high balance point, transitioning into a drop/drive lower-half while working in-line. Long arm out of the glove that moves into a ¾ release. His fastball cruised at 87-89 mph (+2600 RPM) with some carry and run to his arm-side. To pair off the fastball he went to a downer curveball at 72-75 mph (+2600 RPM), tunneling well off fastballs in the upper-half of the zone. He also spun a 10/4 slider over 2400 RPM, 74-76 mph and kept mostly down in the zone. His final offering was a changeup at 80-82 mph, playing with just under 16” of run on average, kept primarily down.
True Freshman. Formerly ranked No. 179 in Illinois’ 2022 class. Athletic build, 6-foot-1, 190-pound frame with round shoulders. The right-hander worked his fastball up to 91.5 mph, sitting primarily in the 88-90 mph range and averaging over 2,300 RPM. His curveball flashed sharp action with downer 11/5 shape, 75-77 mph. Changeup played mostly straight and struggled to locate at times, but flashed fade to the arm-side with up to 18.7 inches of horizontal movement.

Delivery: Tall and fall delivery with smooth rhythm, easy effort, level shoulders throughout, works in line, athletic finish.
Arm Action: RH. Short loose arm action, high 3/4 slot.
FB: T87, 84-86 mph. Slight arm-side run. T2350, 2243 average rpm.
CB: 71-74 mph. Sharp 11/5 break, some bite to it. T1884, 1785 average rpm.
SL: 74-75 mph. Gradual 10/4 movement. T1785, 1688 average rpm.

Body: 6-0, 170-pounds. Lean build.
Delivery: Tall and fall delivery, easy effort, lands open, finishes athletic.
Arm Action: RH. Short loose arm action, over-the-top slot.
FB: T87, 82-86 mph. Clean out of the hand, plays straight. Max of 2333 RPM, via TrackMan.
CB: 69-71 mph. 11/5 shape.
SL: 72-74 mph. 10/4 shape, throws hard.
Hit: RHH. Tall balance setup, smooth load, short leg lift. Uphill swing, pull approach.
Power: 81 mph exit velocity from the tee.
Arm: RH. INF - 77 mph. Short arm action, high 3/4 slot, throws flash carry.
Defense: Steady hands, clean exchange.
Run: 7.02 runner in the 60.
