Featured an effective curveball with 2/8 slurvy action at 69-74 mph. Changeup is thrown with the same arm speed and arm action as his fastball at 74-75 mph, with sink and feel for the bottom of the zone. 5-foot-7, 165-pound right-handed pitcher, durable build. Started and stymied an athletic Homewood-Flossmoor lineup showing advanced feel and pitchability for his 2021 classification. Went four innings of two hit ball, walking one and striking out four. Delivery is simple and clean, sturdy coiled balance, sits on back side, closed landing with toe striking even and twisting open, leg swings over body at release. Arm plays long out of a high ¾ slot, regular arm speed. Pounded the zone with three pitches, mostly the fastball and slider. Fastball worked straight with slight cut, seemed to change eye levels, sat 78-79, topped 81 mph. Slider had some tight spin, nice wrinkle pitch, 66-68 mph. Changeup had some run with arm speed, no velocity recorded.
