5/7/15 - Ranked No. 90 in Illinois� 2016 class. Wiry strong 5-foot-11, 170-pound frame, athletic actions, hard-nosed demeanor on field; plays with a refreshing level of grit. Defensively, shows aptitude for the middle infield, demonstrates field awareness and positioning; has natural fluid footwork and fields the ball in rhythm. Average carry on throws, quick transfer on double plays (turned two in game). Also made a highlight-reel play when he backhanded a ball deep in the hole and delivered a jumping Derek Jeter-like one-hop throw to end the fifth inning. Offensively, hits from a slightly open setup, has a handsy approach. Also got on the mound to close out game. Fastball sat 80-81.
1.19.14 - 5-foot-11, 160-pound athletic infielder. Defensively, he plays through the ball athletically with soft hands, and natural instincts. Arm action is athletic, long and easy from a high ¾ slot at 73 mph with accuracy and some carry. Ran a 7.33 60. At the plate he hits from a tall, balanced stance with a short stride. Has a slightly uphill bat path. Exit velocity off the tee was 79 mph.
