2.15.15 - 6-foot-2, 195-pound left-handed pitcher, lanky frame, good projectability. Tall and fall type delivery, works online, clean mechanics, lower half can stay closed longer. Arm action is long, average arm speed, high ¾ slot. Showed command of his fastball, filled up the zone at 82-83 mph, touched 84 mph. Curveball lacks depth, 70-72 mph. Showed good feel for his changeup, ability to command it, slight sinking action, 72-75 mph, could develop into an excellent out pitch.
7.23.14 6-foot-2, 190-pound athletically built right-handed hitting first baseman/left-handed pitcher hit from an athletic, open stance, very little load in hands, stride is short, lifts foot up and down, creating uphill bat path with extension. Hit several line drives from gap-to-gap during batting practice with 84 mph exit velocity off the tee. Threw 74 mph across the diamond from first base, from long high ¾ arm slot with some accuracy. Showcased fluid footwork and clean exchanges fielding the baseball. On the mound utilizes tall and fall delivery from same arm slot, though he turns the baseball early in his arm swing creating pendulum swing-type arm action. Shoulders work uphill, stride direction stays in line with home plate. Threw fastball 78-80 mph with occasional cutting action and above average arm speed. Slows arm on 64-66 mph slurvy breaking ball. Changeup was best secondary pitch at 67-68 mph.
1.19.14 - 6-foot-1, 170-pound left handed throwing two way player. Solid build shows some physical development. On the mound works from a ¾ slot, long arm action. Fastball has occasional run, showed control of the zone, 74-77 mph. Curveball has sweeping action, 10/4 plane, showed feel, 62-63 mph. Changeup has above average feel, showed command, flashed sink, 62-66 mph. Offensively hits from the right side, balanced setup, no stride approach. Hands work, above average bat speed, occasional lift, 81 mph exit velocity from the tee. Defensively showed solid actions around the bag, 70 mph arm across the diamond.
11/2/13 - 6-foot, 165-pound athletic body, right handed hitting, left handed throwing, two-way player with high projectability on the mound and at the plate. On the mound he has a strong drop and drive delivery, solid rhythm, clean lines, regular effort. Arm works long, loose, from a ¾ slot. Fastball sits 74 mph, touched 77 mph once, solid late running action, consistent strikes. Throws a sweeping breaking ball, with aggressive arm speed, 63-64 mph. Showed feel for his changeup at 62-66 mph with flashes of quality sink. At the plate he hits from a balanced, slightly open stance, no loading action, short stride, strong lower half, quality balance through contact. Has fluid, line drive swing, flat bat path, make consistently strong contact. Exit velocity was 75 mph off a tee. At first base he shows quality feel around the bag, throws with a long arm, 70 mph across the diamond. Ran a 7.76 60.
